Eleonora Antonioni

Hi everyone, my name is Eleonora and I like drawing! When I was 6 years old I wanted to became a film director to create my own world, but just a few years later I discovered that by only using a pencil and a piece of paper I could even do better! I like looking at people, especially those who ride a bike. That’s why I started my project biciclettebicycles.tumblr.com from which was born “Officina Millegiri” (Sinnos 2016), a graphic novel written by Andrea Satta and illustrated by me. I’m also the author, together with Francesca Ruggiero, of “Non bisogna dare attenzioni alle bambine che urlano” (Eris Edizioni 2018), published in France by Casterman Bd with the title “Girl Power”. In this graphic novel I put all the love for the teen years, for secret diaries and my passion for the '90s. I spent last year writing and illustrating “Trame Libere” (Sinnos 2019), a graphic biography about the extraordinary life of photographer Lee Miller. I was born and raised in Rome, but I currently live in Turin where I teach at IED - Istituto Europeo di Design. Here I try to get my students interested in telling stories through comics.
